Details
:
User interface
All user interface are built using the latest technology and provide the
user with a quick access to relevant information. Those interface are
developed as desktop or web application. The advantages differ based on
the customers needs and requirements. As an example web interface do not
require software or heavy maintenance and be deployed to an unlimited
numbers of users fairly quickly using a web browser such as Microsoft
Internet Explorer.
Business logic
Business logic is the heart behind the process that dictate how an
application is supposed to behave. Most application are build on what
you call a 3 tiers model. The first tier is the user interface, the
second tier is where the business logic resides, finally the third tier
contains the data. eWorldData build most of its application following
this model, the business logic encompass, data flow, data validation, it
acts as a gate between the user interface and the data making sure that
the process flow is respected. All those elements are put together using
Microsoft Component Object Model also called COM, this allow for a
standardized way to validate the application process flow.
Database
Database are a container for the data and distribute the data back to
the user interface thru the business logic layer. eWorldData uses Access
2000 or Microsoft SQL Server for its databases.

Portfolio :
Mirage
Hotel & Resort
The Mirage Marketing department needed a way to streamline their
reservation system for their customers. The main reservation system was
designed for general purpose but did not include any customization
module. eWorldData, looked at the problem and created an application
with Access 2000 as the back-end, this allowed for quick deployment
between all department involved in the review and processing of
information.
E.T.T
E.T.T needed to replace their current dispatch system, this system was
built with Access 2000 and required heavy processing and was not
flexible enough for the expanding needs of the company. eWorldData
designed and implemented a stand alone application that allowed the
dispatchers to keep track of their technician and build their daily
service route. The system is coupled with a SQL Server database
and is scalable enough to allow the company for future growth.
Terrible Herbst
Terrible Herbst needed to replace their aging voice system, the system
permitted to record daily transaction for all their convenient stores.
One of the main issue was that the system was cumbersome and did not
allow for easy data entry. eWorldData reviewed the requirements for a
new system. The new system needed to be scalable and allow for fast data
entry. The approach was to make the application web based, from this
point it was decided to built data entry form that the user can easily
fill up. The database is also based on SQL Server 2000 technology.
